Pay directly from your bank account using one of these options:
eForms – electronic, fillable forms with no login required. Available for all tax types with an electronic filing requirement.
Business Online Service Account – question-based filing, login is required. Review the FAQs for details and supported forms. If you don't have an account, enroll here. You'll need your Federal Employer ID Number (FEIN), your 15-digit Virginia Tax account number, and information from your most recently filed Virginia tax return (if you've filed a return).
- Web Upload – bulk file submissions with a user login required. Review About Web Upload for details and supported forms.
- These software options charge a fee to use their programs.
- Businesses meeting certain conditions may use the free eForms short return (EZ) versions of Form 500 or Form 502.
Businesses can pay via ACH Credit and initiate sending payments from their bank account to Virginia Tax's bank account.

Check or Money Order
Pay by check or money order payable to the Virginia Department of Taxation. Include your tax account number (FEIN) and specific tax period of the return or voucher on the check.

Payment Fee - Returned Payments
If your financial institution does not honor your payment to us, we may impose a fee of $35 (Code of Virginia § 2.2-614.1). This fee is in addition to any other penalty or interest you may owe.
