This will reply to your letter of May 17, 1984 in which you seek relief of penalty assessed against your client, ***** (the "taxpayer") as the result of a recent audit.
Based on the facts presented, I find basis for accepting your application for correction and hereby abate for the penalty assessed with regard to sales tax owed for the period September 1, 1979 through June 30, 1982.
The audit papers will be adjusted in accordance with this determination.
