We’re pleased to announce the launch of a new and improved search function for our Laws, Rules, and Decisions library. Our new AI-powered search returns better search results even faster than before. What’s more, you’ll now be able to search the Virginia tax code, and tax administrative code, right from our site!
A couple notes to help you use our new search:
- If you used our old search, this one is simpler. Just start typing what you’re looking for and hit enter. Your filtering options come next.
- If you know the number of the Public Document you’re searching for, try searching using the “Exactly these words” filter (buttons under the search box).
- Filter your Laws, Rules, and Decisions results by topic, tax type, document type, or year issued to further refine your search results. (Filters are not available for tax code or administrative code searches).
- Search returns the results that are judged to be most relevant to the search terms first. You can easily change this to show the most recent results first by selecting “Sort By Date” to the right of the search results.
